LeFay takes its name from Morgan le Fay — sorceress, healer, shapeshifter of Arthurian legend. It's a fitting namesake for florals that transform a venue, hold their shape all day, and never ask to be replaced.
When our founder got engaged, fresh floral quotes came back well beyond what a real wedding budget could stretch to — and with a pollen and fragrance sensitivity, fresh flowers weren't a comfortable option in the first place. No dedicated faux florist existed locally, so she built her own stem collection and taught herself floral design from the ground up.
Her first arrangements were made for her own engagement party. Guests assumed they were fresh, and asked to take pieces home afterward. Encouraged to turn it into a business, she put together her first full wedding set — two urn arrangements, a bridal bouquet, and three bridesmaids' bouquets. Before that first wedding had even taken place, she had three more hires booked and more enquiries than she could take on.
Before florals, our founder's background was in musical theatre — performance, costume design, makeup artistry and graphic design. That eye for colour balance, texture and visual storytelling carries directly into every arrangement: each piece is composed the way a costume or a set is, with an eye for how it will actually look and photograph on the day.
LeFay Faux Florals exists to make bridal-grade floral design accessible on a real wedding budget — without pollen, without wilting, and without the landfill waste that comes from fresh arrangements used once and discarded.
